- We like the Motorola UDS V.3400. They're not remotely manageable, but
- otherwise are outstanding modems. They connect to anything (nope, not
- V.FC. Why would you want to?) and are very adaptable to a variety of
- line conditions. They are configurable from the front panel. The modems
- have a 5 year warranty.
-
- Are they cost effective? Well, at about $ 800 for the 16-slot rack and
- $ 600 each for the modems, they're very much on the high end of 28.8K
- modems (and still a couple hundred less than remotely manageable models).
- But they are really outstanding modems, and we are looking to buy more.
